Abstract
Two years after Emmanuel Macron admitted that the young mathematician Maurice Audin had been assassinated by French soldiers in June 1957 in Algiers, access to the archives concerning other cases of torture and extrajudicial executions by the French army remains closed, unlike to the president's promise. The "reluctance" of the French army is invoked. A directive of the Secrétariat général de la défense et de la sécurité nationale (SGDSN) prohibits access to files containing secret defense documents until it is lifted.
