Abstract
In the early afternoon of June 27, 1994, the "intelligence" office of General Lafourcade's command post in Goma sent a fax to the staff in Paris which analyzed the attack witnessed by Marin Gillier in the middle. of the day. This fax explicitly describes an expedition carried out against Tutsi civilians: "On the 27th at around 11 am, an element of around 100 armed militiamen flanked by soldiers attacked a hill in the region of Gisovu (25 South Kibuye); 200 Tutsis, originating from the commune, were gathered in the sector and were the object of threats on behalf of the Hutus".
