BUJUMBURA, Nov 28 (AFP) - Burundi declared Rwandan charge d'affaires Alphonse Bazigira persona non grata and ordered him to leave the country by Friday, informed sources disclosed.
There was no immediate explanation for the expulsion. Last weekend, government troops fought "terrorists from outside" here in the capital and in northern regions bordering Rwanda.
State radio reported Thursday that the death toll had risen to 120.
The government blamed the incursions on the armed wing of the Hutu People's Liberation Party, but has never officially accused Rwanda of supporting it.
