Abstract
Eugène Rwamucyo, a Rwandan doctor who took refuge in France, is brought back before the Cour d'Assises for genocide. In 1994, he participated in meetings with those responsible for the genocide, in particular with Prime Minister Jean Kambanda who was sentenced to life by the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR).
Comment
The photo's caption invites to confuse murderers and victims. She presents as victims this crowd of refugees made up by the perpetrators of the genocide who forced other people to flee in front of the advance of the troops of the Patriotic Front. These put an end to the massacres in eastern Rwanda.
