Abstract
- Since the launch of Operation Turquoise in Rwanda, a French soldier was slightly wounded today by the RPF; however, a French military official stated that it was a case of mistaken identity.
- An emergency airlift for Rwandan refugees is being organized, with large transport planes arriving in Goma, in eastern Zaire.
- In the span of 48 hours, more than 500,000 people have crossed the border between Rwanda and Zaire. Humanitarian organizations fear a food crisis, especially given that hundreds of unaccompanied children are wandering through the camps surrounding Goma.
