Abstract
Much of the debate at the UN Security Council on April 29, 1994 focused on the advisability of using the word "genocide" to qualify the butchery underway in Rwanda. This term was ultimately not retained. For his part, the RPF representative in New York notably condemned all those who have relations with "this group of murderers" and particularly denounces the French government "which received at the highest level a delegation of these criminals, thus supporting their policy of extermination and their inhuman acts".
