Abstract
- Philippe Gaillard: "We have resumed contact with the authorities of the city of Kigali who are now playing the game by sending messages through the two main radio stations in Rwanda, the national radio and the Radio Télévision Libre des Mille Collines, asking the populations to calm down, to respect the civilian population, to arrest suspects if there are any and to hand them over to the competent authorities, and finally to respect the injured whoever they are and to promote the work of the Cross- Rwandan Red Army and the International Committee of the Red Cross. So it's clear that this message got through. We have proof of this: yesterday [April 29] we evacuated 13 injured people. Today 11 injured people, some of whom even came to our hospital on their own. And that's a very good sign compared to what we experienced in the previous days".
