Abstract
President Habyarimana's plane was shot down by a surface-to-air missile coming from the southeastern part of the Kanombe military camp of the Rwandan Armed Forces. The missile hit the left wing of the plane, causing the kerosene to ignite and create a fireball effect. The plane was hit approximately 400 m from its landing point on the eastern edge of the Habyarimana property. A shot from Masaka (thesis of Judge Bruguière) would have hit the reactors at the rear of the plane. The starting blast of the missiles could not have been heard as it was by Belgian doctors and a French officer housed in this military camp. The experts are: Claudine Oosterlinck (pilot, Falcon 2000 instructor), Daniel Van Schendel (explosives), Jean Huon (armaments), Jean Sompayrac (expert surveyor), Olivier Chavanis (aeronautical armorer), Jean-Pascal Serre (acoustician).
Comment
The Mistral missile hypothesis is dismissed for an invalid reason.
